Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said Leicester City will win the English Premier League title this season with three matches to spare.
Leicester are currently two points clear of nearest rivals Tottenham Hotspur, but with an extra game to play, and hold a nine-point advantage over fourth-placed Manchester City. Leicester have 60 points after 29 matches.
“Of course, they (Leicester City) can (win the league). I believe they will win it with three games to spare,” Ferguson was quoted as saying by the Independent on Sunday.
Claudio Ranieri’s men started the season as the favourites to be relegated but shocked the entire footballing world as they have dominated the league till now.
