Messi to miss King's Cup tie

Former Germany and Bayern Munich striker Gerd Mueller's record of 85 goals in a  year will stand for a little longer after Barcelona decided to rest Lionel Messi for a midweek outing in the King's Cup against Alaves. Messi is three goals short of Mueller's tally set in 1972.

'Offensive chanters will be punished'
London: West Ham manager Sam Allardyce said Hammers fans who chanted anti-Semitic abuse at Tottenham Hotspur supporters would be caught and punished. One fan has been banned for life and Allardyce said cameras will help catch other fans engaged in offensive chanting.
