Bengaluru FC, who returned to winning ways last weekend after going eight games winless in the I-League football championship, played a goalless draw against Mohun Bagan in a crucial match in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Following the result, Mohun Bagan remained at the third spot with 23 points in 12 matches, while the defending champions are at the fifth spot with 18 points in 13 matches.
Both teams started the proceedings on a positive note by playing a frantic end-to-end game but some sloppy passes from both the teams resulted in a dull draw at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
The last 10 minutes saw some good attacking game from Bagan and as a result they seemed to have found the back of the net in the 85th minute but Katsumi Yusa’s header was disallowed following a foul.
The last few minutes saw Bengaluru changing their tactics but it failed as both teams played a dull draw.
