Manchester United’s assistant manager and club legend Ryan Giggs is facing a huge divorce settlement after it was revealed that his wife Stacey caught him flirting him with a waitress of George’s, which is owned by the footballer.
Stacey and Ryan, as reported by Daily Mail and other British papers, are still living in the same house. The report further says that Mrs Giggs wants a divorce.
The allegation was the latest incident that said to be the final straw for Stacey, who stood by her husband when details of his eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri’s wife Natasha, came out in 2011.
The report said that the couple, who have two children, separated three months ago.
Giggs was also said to have a six-month affair with model Imogen Thomas in 2010.
Mail quoted Marilyn Stowe, a divorce lawyer at Stowe Family Law, saying “Mrs Giggs could be entitled to an ‘exceptional’ payout, adding: ‘The starting point will be a 50/50 division of asset,”
If it were to come true then Giggs stands to lose half his £40million fortune.
Meanwhile, Rhodri hinted in his tweet that the rumours about breakdown of his brother’s marriage may be true. “Smoke and fire comes to mind pal” he said from his twitter handle @rodjamesgiggs after he was asked about the story on Sun.
In another story on Daily Mirror, suggests that the star has already moved on and has struck up a “flirty friendship with a PR girl Kate Greville”.
Greville worked with Giggs during the promotion of his £24million Hotel Football venture last year.
The 32-year-old divorce the report says had confided to her friends that the Manchester United star had sent a series of gifts including flowers and designer handbags.
