Angry Birds follow-up Amazing Alex to be released in two months

After the record-breaking success of Angry Birds, Rovio is all set launch a new game, Amazing Alex, a physics-related puzzle game.

The company's CEO, Mikael Hed told Finnish Television that the mobile games giant's next project is going to be Amazing Alex, a Rube-Goldbergesque physics puzzler based on the intellectual property Casey's Contraptions which Rovio purchased from Snappy Touch and Myster Coconut, reports Forbes.

The news has appeared just days after Rovio announced that Angry Birds has reached one billion downloads since its launch.

The new game features Alex, a young boy who enjoys building things.

Reports suggest that the game will be out in July.
