The OnePlus Two is almost here! The highly anticipated followup to the OnePlus One, regarded by many as one of the best phones of 2014, will release in India at a New Delhi event on Tuesday.
Sadly, you can’t just get online and order one. The dreaded invites system is back. Here’s what you can do to make sure you snag one.
Get on the ‘reservation list’: The OnePlus site has a reservation list where you can wait in line to get an invite for the phone. Make sure you add OnePlus’s email address to your account so that your invite doesn’t end up in your spam mail. Make sure you’re quick, though. There were already over 1,70,000 people in front of us when we signed up.
Subscribe to the OnePlus newsletter and join their community: The OnePlus site reads: “You can get an invite by participating in our contests and promotions. For notifications about out contests and invites, subscribe to our newsletter, join our community on the forums, or follow us on social media.”
Here are all the links you need in one place. You’re welcome.

Be good to your friends: Finally, not everyone has the patience to wait in line to get a OnePlus Two invite. If a friend has a OnePlus Two invite, work your charm and take it off their hands. You know the saying: “A friend with a OnePlus Two invite is a friend indeed.”
If all this sounds like an uphill battle, take heart. The OnePlus team offers this glimmer of hope on its website:
“…invites are still a necessity, but we’re striving to make the process as painless as possible thanks to more inventory, a reservation list, and a quicker rollout of shareable invites.”
