Nintendo has confirmed that its upgraded New Nintendo 3DS XL will arrive on February 13 in tandem with 'The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D.'

As such, a special black and gold edition version of the New Nintendo 3DS XL will sport Majora's Mask motifs and come bundled with the game.

Otherwise, a New 3DS XL will run at $199, charger not included -- old chargers for the existing 3DS, 2DS and DSi lines will work just fine.

Support for the New 3DS XL continues in the form of 'Xenoblade Chronicles 3D,' a portable version of cult Nintendo Wii adventure 'Xenoblade Chronicles,' which is set to arrive in April.

And 'Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate' will also be made available for the New 3DS XL, again as a bundle in which the game comes pre-installed, with the pack's confirmed price at $229.

In comparison with the standard 3DS and 2DS handhelds, the New 3DS sports extra shoulder buttons, a second directional control nub, a larger screen, better battery life, NFC compatibility for use with Nintendo's Amiibo figurines and customizable face plates, in addition to upgraded internal components.
