Watch out for WhatsApp! The hit mobile instant messaging service, WhatsApp has now added the voice messaging feature, thereby enabling users to send voice messgaes to other WhatsApp users.

The company announced the availability of this new feature while also announcing that it has now hit the 300 million monthly active users mark. The company now also boasts 20 million monthly active users in India.

The company has rolled this feature for its apps on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia.

This feature allows a user pushes to record a message rather than type one. When he/she lets go, the message sends. If the user decides not to send, he/she swipes to the left and the recording is deleted. All that is built into a single tap.

Other features: There is no time length limit when recording a message and the volume automatically switches from speaker when held at arm’s length to soft when held next to an ear.
