Xiaomi co-founder and senior VP Liwan Jiang had said last week that the Mi5 will be released after Chinese Spring Festival. Now, the handset’s listing has popped up on a Chinese retailer GearBest, revealing the handset’s flagship level specifications.
The listing reveals that specifications include a 5.2 inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC bundled with 4GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera along with a juicy 3,600 mAh battery. The listing also shows a fingerprint scanner while connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE along with dual-SIM support.
While in other related news, Chinese website Weibo suggests that the handset is set to launch on February 20, which is apparently the tentative timeline revealed by Xiaomi co-founder earlier this week. He also added that Mi 5 has entered production phase as the company wants to ensure enough stock when the phone finally hits the market.
