You're going to have to wait for Google's modular smartphone

Google's Ara phone project is really cool. The idea is to create a modular smartphone with easily swappable components -- processor, memory, camera, microsoft, 3G chip, and more. Any of these, including the screen, can be replaced if they're damaged or if you want to improve the phone's performance. Now, the project, which was supposed to be released later this year, has been pushed back.
Google explained on Twitter that Ara required more tests and simulations than expected and the launch of this new kind of smartphone will now happen sometime in 2016. Despite all of this, several partners are already working on compatible modules for the phone.
A prototype to fine-tune
In early 2015, a prototype referred to as Spiral 2 was presented that was supposed to soon be perfected and sold in several test markets before the end of the year.
