Silent on the subject up until now, Ubisoft has finally announced the next game for Xbox 360 and PS3 in the franchise. "Assassin's Creed Rogue," which the games publisher introduces in a new trailer, will launch on November 12.
Ubisoft's announcement also confirmed the title of the new game, which was previously known under the code name "Comet" until a Swiss retailer leaked the real title last week.
"Assassin's Creed Rogue" will allow last-generation consolers to play Shay Patrick Cormac, a former Assassin who is now a Templar seeking revenge on the brotherhood that betrayed him.
The action in this new episode is set in the mid-18th century during the Seven Years' War, placing it between "Assassin's Creed III" and "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag." North America provides the backdrop for most of the action, but there are also naval battles and an Atlantic crossing.
Set to go on sale November 12, "Assassin's Creed Rogue" will be preceded by "Assassin's Creed Unity," the new game for PS4 and Xbox One, which is due for release on October 28.
