The 20-year-old son of one of Gurgaon's reputed developer Dayanand Singh Gahlot died after he fell off his apartment building in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday. The Gahlot family owns Ambience Mall and Ambience Lagoon Apartments in Gurgaon.

According to his family members, Anubhav Singh Gahlot (20) was pursuing Bachelor of Business Studies (economics and finance) at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne. He fell off the terrace of the students' hostel there and died on the spot, said his uncle Raj Singh Gahlot, the managing director of Ambience Mall and Ambience Lagoon Apartments.

The incident happened at 1202/131, Pelham Street, Carlton, Melbourne which falls under the jurisdiction of Melbourne West police station.

"It appears that there might be foul play involved as Anubhav was not stressed or depressed. This was clear by his recent conversation with the daughter of one of the Indian employees, named Mr Vohra, there," said Raj Singh Gahlot.

"He has always been a fine student and never projected any signs of depression. We have always been in touch with him. This is a very shocking news for us. We will take this matter to the highest of authorities and will demand an inquiry from the Government of India," added Gahlot.
