Despite being “blacklisted” by the municipal councillors, Sri Balaji Security Services, a private sanitation company, figures on the list of short-listed firms qualified for making bids for sanitation tender floated by the civic body.
Perfect Manpower Pvt Ltd, International Academy Pvt Ltd and Antony Waste Handling Cell Pvt Ltd are the other three companies which are making bids for the contract.
The municipal corporation, on January 6, had passed a resolution calling for the termination of services of Sri Balaji Security Services for poor performance, said an official on condition of anonymity.
However, the MCG commissioner did not terminate the contract as the pact with the company was to end on March 31.
Besides, the firm had undertaken some civic projects in Ballabhgarh, under the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad, but the civic body had terminated its contract abruptly, on April 9, “for poor performance”.
However, the MCG’s decision to allow Sri Balaji Security Services, promoted by Satyajit, has baffled many.
The question that begs an answer is how a company with bad track record could make its way to the bidding process. “I will see all these aspects when the financial bid opens. We will take into account all disciplinary matters and norms,” said MCG commissioner Sudhir Rajpal.
On the other hand, Satyajit said, “Some Gurgaon councillors have been conspiring against me and trying to get my sanitation contract terminated. I have been working honestly despite all these hassles. Regarding contract termination in Faridabad, I would say that it is false. My good work seems to have earned me enemies.”
