A Hyundai Santro car was looted from a lawyer at gunpoint in Farrukhnagar on Friday afternoon, said the police.

The incident took place when Ishwar Singh, a resident of Farrukhnagar, was on his way to Gurgaon around 12.30pm.

Five unidentified persons allegedly halted his car and snatched the keys at gunpoint. The accused dragged Singh out of the car before fleeing with the vehicle.

Singh claimed two of the accused were in school uniforms. “We are investigating the matter and a case has been registered. We have formed teams to nab the accused,” said a senior police official.

The police suspect a gang of carjackers could be behind the incident. In the past, there have been several cases of cars being looted at gunpoint in Gurgaon.
