A day after a 20-year-old college student was arrested for raping his classmate for five days in a hotel room in Rajasthan, two of his accomplices were held on Wednesday night.
The duo, identified as Manish Kumar and Rambeer, was sent to one-day police remand for interrogation. The police are conducting raids to arrest the fourth accused Sawant who is still absconding.
The prime accused, Rahul Kumar, was allegedly in a relationship with the victim. On August 3, he took her to Alwar on the pretext of marrying her, but instead raped her for five days in a hotel room in the presence of his three friends, police said.
DCP (west) Surinder Pal said, "All the three accused were produced in the district court on Thursday and sent in police remand for one day. It is not a case of gangrape but Rahul's friends helped him in the crime and had booked the hotel room."
According to the police, the victim went to her college on August 3 to meet Rahul. From there, the two, along with Rahul's friends, went to a restaurant for lunch before leaving for Alwar.
At the restaurant, Rahul allegedly mixed some sedative in the victim's cold drink which rendered her unconscious.
The victim's father lodged a missing complaint with the police on August 3 when the girl did not return.
The police registered an FIR on August 7 after the victim reached home and narrated the ordeal to her family. A medical examination confirmed rape.
