The city police on Thursday managed to nab a criminal wanted in four cases, including two murders.

Vikas Dhudhiya, 23, was arrested near Rohtak along with friend Rajesh Kumar, with whom he was staying. Dhudhiya is a native of Rodh village.

He has been charged with the murder of 27-year-old Rajpal Singh, a resident of his native village, on September 9. In December last year, he had also shot dead a 24-year-old man from Badhana, who was identified as Sunil. Dhudhiya had been absconding since then.

According to the police, he had also tried to kill a doctor in Kharkhoda (Sonipat) in July last year. Another attempt to murder case was reported against him in Sonipat, but he had managed to escape.

According to Kumar, whose cousin is Dhudhiya's close friend, he did not know that he was a wanted criminal.

"Rajesh was taking care of Vikas and providing facilities to him. How is it possible that you are unaware of what a person staying with you is doing. You have no clue why he has illegal arms. We are trying to clean the city of such criminals and illegal arms trade. Strict action will be taken," said Maheshwar Dayal, DCP (east).

Meanwhile, a property fraud case was registered in Gurgaon DLF City Phase 1 on Friday by a resident of Gwalpahari. The victim Mahesh Singh had allegedly purchased land in Delhi through his friend Ram Singh.

Though he had paid lakhs as token money, the plot registry never materialised.
