Discom to curb power misuse

To check developers from using power more than sanctioned limits, the distribution company on Monday asked its officials to conduct a survey in various colonies of the city developed by private realtors.

To check developers from using power more than sanctioned limits, the distribution company on Monday asked its officials to conduct a survey in various colonies of the city developed by private realtors.

Devender Singh, chairman and managing director of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) asked Gurgaon's superintending engineer Sanjiv Chopra to conduct a survey in all developers colony.

“The developers have not set up additional sub-stations, which they had to do as per the condition of the agreement with the Haryana Town Planning department. But population has increased manifold in the past two decades,” said a member of Gurgaon Citizens' Council (GCC).
