Real estate major DLF is taking up the cause of Uttarakhand flood victims. Aakash Ohri, director, business development, called upon DLF City Phase-5 residents to donate money.

“I will be sending letters to all residents of DLF Phase-5, requesting them to support our efforts to mitigate the pain of Uttarakhand residents, as they have been at the receiving end of the tragedy,” said Ohri.

Ohri said the company has already started the reconstruction work. “The idea is to adopt villages, especially remote ones, after identifying them with the help of the government agencies. We will reconstruct houses to begin with,” added Ohri.

A DLF team is presently working in the upper reaches of Uttarkashi sector and had distributed three truckloads of food and relief material to the flood victims.

“We will request those interested to enlist themselves as volunteers to support our representatives working there,” he added.
