Two doctors, including a hospital owner, allegedly beat up a former executive of a city-based hospital on Tuesday after calling him on the pretext of giving his due salary, the police said.
Muhammad Sikandar, 25, a resident of Batla House in Delhi, has been currently working as marketing manager with Ahmed Hospital in Gurgaon. He was earlier employed with Shalu Hospital as marketing head for six months before leaving the job in November.
When Sikandar called up his ex employer, claiming that his one month salary was still due, the Shalu Hospital's owner Dr Gaurav Kumar told him to come to his office at Sunrise Hospital in Sector 10 to collect his money, the police said citing the complainant.
"I went to Sunrise Hospital, where Dr Kumar and Dr Satayandra Nawal asked me to leave the current job and work with them again. When I denied, they started beating me. They hit on my face, stomach and put the gun on my head and threatened me not to work with any other hospital in the city," said Sikandar, adding that the doctors tortured him for hours.
The two doctors denied the allegation, saying that they were being framed by Sikandar for some vested interests.
"We have the CCTV footage with us, which will prove our innocence. We had discussion with him. It was he who misbehaved with our hospital staff. We did not hurt him. We don't have any gun," said Dr Kumar.
Police said that they are investigate the matter and waiting for the medical report.
