In a case of road rage, four unidentified men overpowered a 33- year-old driver and robbed his car on Saturday afternoon while he was on his way to Sector 5 with his wife and another couple. Police registered a case of robbery against the four men at Civil Lines police station.

According to the police, Manoj Kumar, a resident of Rajgarhi in Uttar Pradesh working with a private tour and travels company in Gurgaon, wanted to take his wife and friends to offer prayers at Sheetla Mata shrine near Sector 5.

When they reached the Sector 12A crossing, a Maruti Swift intercepted their car and four men slapped him and asked him to sit at the back. One of the accused snatched the car keys of the Toyota Etios Liva and followed his accomplice. They parked their car near the bus stand and told the victims to get down and then fled with the car.

Inspector Vishal Kumar, SHO Civil Lines police station said, “The Sector 12A crossing was crowded and the driver claims he might have accidentally bumped into the assailants’ vehicle and therefore they became violent.”
