Leaving behind the exertion of the week, music lovers in Gurgaon and NCR started their weekend amid cool breeze, live music and flamboyant performances at the Hindustan Times CyberHub Friday Jam presented by Honda, powered by G-Shock in association with K R Mangalam University Season 3.
Mesmerising the audience with their performances were three bands from across the nation.
The first band to take to the stage was Malaang. Formed around a year back, the members played a number of famous Bollywood numbers, both old and new.
For the band members, performing at the event was a memorable experience.
“It was a great experience performing at the HT Friday Jam. The audience was lively and cheered for us throughout. The weather was also cooler and it worked in our favour,” said Rahul Sharma, vocalist of Malaang band.
The next band to enthrall the crowd with peppy Hindi songs like ‘Jeeya Jeyaa Re’ and ‘Bang Bang’ was The Silhouette. The nine-member band had two vocalists who left the listeners spell-bound with their voices.
“Waoh! Such a great audience and the set-up is also amazing. People appreciated our music and this has boasted our confidence,” said Ashutosh Shardha, one of the vocalists.
The next band that performed had come all the way from Pune. The five-member group, Retrofied, swayed the crowd with Bollywood numbers and their compositions ‘Maut’ and ‘Zindagi Ke Safar’.
“This was a great crowd. We were a little nervous in the start but then we had a ball performing here.
The response of the crowd touched our hearts,” said Anurag Prasad, the vocalist of the band.
After the performances of the band, famous Punjabi singer Simranjeet Singh took to the stage and dished out some peppy numbers. The
The crowd had a gala time and most of them said they will attend the event next Friday as well.
“This is one of the best ways to relax and forget the busy schedules that we have throughout the week. It is a great initiative by HT. I do not miss any opportunity to come here,” said 26-year old Kali from the audience.
