The country’s top technocrats will converge in the Millennium City on June 29 to celebrate their contribution to the world technological platform.

The country’s top technocrats will converge in the Millennium City on June 29 to celebrate their contribution to the world technological platform.

More than 50 chief technology officers (CTOs) and chief information officers (CIOs), including those from Gurgaon, will be felicitated by the Haryana Information Technology and Telecom-Enabled Industries Confederation (Hitec).

Hitech founder member Pradeep Yadav said that the event would be a first-of-its-kind award ceremony dedicated to technocrats of both Indian and global firms.

“The world’s best-known multinational firms will have representation at the ceremony,” he said.

“These firms range from those having global brand names in the field of software and hardware development and telecommunication,” he added.

Besides, awards will also be handed out to multinational audit and tax consultancy firms that help grow the information technology business.

Hitec has been working towards enhancing awareness among members of the industry to adapt to emerging technologies, cost-cutting methods, create global niche in product and services delivery and enhance revenue and employment opportunities.

It has also been emphasising on increasing focus on cloud computing, surveillance solutions, collaborative applications, convergence of device, applications and next generation networks like 4G.

According to its chairman Raj Yadav, Hitec is working to promote cloud computing, wifi-enabled buses, metro trains and taxis, monitoring of cyber attacks, network and IT audit, lab certification, job creation and a converge contact centre to facilitate electronic-medicine and help farmers.
