Two employees of a pub sustained gunshot wounds after a group of armed men attacked them inside a mall on MG Road around 11pm on Sunday.

Police said an old enmity was the reason for the attack during which the group opened fire on the bouncers and the manager outside the S Bar in Grand Mall on MG Road.

A case under Arms Act and attempt to murder under the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused at Sector 29 police station. The police said two persons, identified as Amit, a bouncer from Daula village in Sohna, and Mintu, a resident of Faridabad, were arrested in the connection with the attack.

According to the complaint filed by Deepak who owns and manages the S Bar in Grand mall, the accused, who had their faces covered, attacked him and two other employees of the bar around 11.15pm. Deepak, who hails from Chandeni village in Dadri district, alleged that a group of 15 men armed with guns and sticks unleashed a murderous attack on them.

The complainant said four of the accused pulled out pistols and started firing on them. He said two of his associates suffered gunshot wounds. Deepak also hinted that the attack happened because of a quarrel last month with Amit over non-payment of restaurant bills.

“Four rounds were fired inside the mall. The bouncers sustained bullet wounds in their legs. One of the bullet was fired in the air, while another hit the elevator. The matter is being probed and the rest of the accused will also be arrested soon,” Vikas Kaushik, station house officer (SHO), Sector 29 police station, said.
