However, temperatures are expected to drop to 39 degrees Celsius on Monday, as a thunderstorm is expected to hit the city, IMD officials said.

According to the Met department, there is a possibility of NCR residents receiving scattered rainfall till Tuesday.

“NCR residents can expect a partly cloudy sky on Monday and there is also a possibility of a thunder development with lightning. The maximum temperature that is expected to be recorded on Monday is 39 degrees Celsius,” an IMD official said.

Leena Kar of DLF Phase-1 said, “It was nice to go for a morning walk on Sunday because of the pleasant climate. The thunderstorm from last night helped bring down the temperature a bit, so it was pleasant in the morning. The temperature wasn’t too high. It was comfortable. It was definitely not as hot on Sunday as it was throughout the last week.”
