The victim of the high-profile rape case, introduced her twins she had with Ajay Bhardwaj, the accused, in a press conference on Monday in Gurgaon.

The victim was also carrying their DNA reports from the forensic science laboratory, Madhuban, Karnal (Haryana). The reports clearly state that they are the children of the victim and Bhardwaj. The accused had recently admitted that they were his children after the victim got the reports.

The case has created a major rift between two top cops of the Gurgaon police.

The victim further alleged that Bharti Arora, joint commissioner of police (traffic), has shielded the accused and misused her powers. Moreover, the woman said that Arora had once even helped to get the accused released from police custody. Despite several attempts on Monday, Bharti Arora was not available for comments.

The victim accused Arora of imputing her character in public and also revealed her identity. She said that Arora’s claims were false and baseless and she has all the evidence to prove her wrong.

“Bharti Arora has completely misused her powers to safeguard the accused. She sent a number of police officers to pressurize me and the witness to withdraw the case. Five officials were sent to my home including a Road safety officer with hidden cameras. I expect her to publicly apologise to me for maligning my image. I have given out all the proofs including DNA reports, photographs of marriage and even bank transactions, where lakhs of money has been submitted in the bank account of the accused,” said the victim.
