The Hero Honda crossing on the c has become one of the most dangerous spots for commuters. During the last one month many commuters have fallen victims to a gang of robbers on bikes who operate on the Hero Honda Chowk to Kherki Daula toll stretch.

Many workers and industrialists of IMT Manesar were attacked by the gang members. Many of the victims lost their valuables, including laptops, mobile phones and other items.

Shalini Baweja, a resident of Sector 15 part-1, told Hindustan Times, "I have a factory at IMT Manesar, Sector 4. Generally my driver picks me up but last month he was on leave and I had to drive myself. On September 28, when I reached the Hero Honda Chowk, I heard a loud noise. Two men on a bike stopped me to say that my car has a flat tyre. When I stepped out to check, they fled away with my two mobiles, which were kept on the front seat."

She did not file a complaint with the police, as she believes that no action would be taken against the culprits.

Like Baweja, many do not approach the police as they feel that filing a complaint will not yield any result.

"There are three pairs of conmen operating on this stretch and I have been targeted twice. Police are aware about such incidents taking place but refuse to register complaints," said Vikram Chauhan, an industrialist of Sector 5 IMT Manesar.

Chauhan was robbed twice in the past 20 days. First his mobile phone was robbed and later his laptop.

A gang of conmen mostly on bikes, operate on the Hero Honda Chowk to Kherki Daula toll stretch.

In another incident, Purnima Mehta along with her children was on her way to Panchgaon, when two bike-borne men told her to check the tyre. When she got down to have a look, they fled away with her suitcase, which was on the rear seat.
