In a major relief for residents of Karmayogi Society in Sector 10A, the additional commissioner of cooperative group housing societies has not only barred the society president from disposing of properties, but also directed the assistant registrar of cooperative societies, Gurgaon, to conduct a special audit within three months. The president, RK Huda, had been accused of embezzlement of funds.

Following complaints of alleged misappropriation of society funds and multiple memberships by relatives against Huda, a group of residents had approached chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

The CM had then ordered senior officials to look into the matter.

In his order, additional chief secretary Krishna Mohan said, "The details of the allegations mentioned in the revision petition, if found to be correct, can be a serious offence … The private respondents and their family members are restrained to alienate their membership or their flats till the completion of the special audit and enquiry which shall be completed within three months."
