Khirwar transfers 30 cops in first reshuffle as Gurgaon police commissioner

A number of SHOs and police inspectors were transferred in Gurgaon

In a major reshuffle, several station house officers (SHOs) and in-charges of police stations were transferred in the city on Tuesday. This is the first reshuffle in the police department by police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar since he joined. According to the police, the bulk transfers were made with a view to provide better police patrolling in the city.

All these changes have also been made keeping in mind the plan to increase the number of police stations in the city from 24 to 34.

The new police stations are to come up in Sector 14, Bajghera, Khandsa, Pataudi Road, Sector 9A, Sohna, Sector 43, Sector 50, New Colony and Sivaji Nagar.

Assistant commissioner of police (ACP), Manish Sehgal, said, “We have initiated the process to help monitor city areas in a better way. The areas that have police units will start operating this week and the areas where police stations are yet to be built will take a place on lease and start operations.”

Inspector Vikash Kaushik, who was SHO of Pataudi police station, has been transferred as SHO, Sector 29, while inspector Umesh Kumar of Sector 10 has been made SHO Metro police station (on MG Road).

Surender Kumar of the FRO branch will take charge as SHO of the new police station in Sector 50, while inspector Rahul Dev will head the Sector 53 police station. Inspector Bijender Kumar will be SHO of Sector 9A police station and inspector Bhartender has been transferred to Sector 14 police station. Rajpal and Samsudeen will be the SHOs of the new Sivaji Nagar and Bajghera police stations respectively.

In addition, inspector Amit Kumar will take charge as SHO, Sector 37, while inspector Jai Prakash of Police Lines is now SHO, Civil Lines. The previous SHO, inspector Jitender, will now look after Sector 5 police station. Inspector Sandeep Kumar, who was SHO Palam Vihar, will take charge of Sector 10 and inspector Parveen Malik will take his place in Palam Vihar. Inspector Babu Lal of Police Lines will be the new SHO of New Colony Police Station.

Metro SHO Devi Charan has been sent to Farrukhnagar, and Sector 10 SHO inspector Lal Chand has been made SHO Pataudi.

Inspector Mukhesh Kumar, who was SHO Sohna will be SHO Sohna City with inspector Arun Kumar taking over as SHO Sohna. Inspector Narender of Cyber Crime cell will now become SHO IMT Manesar.
