Meanwhile, the victim’s family members and relatives have demanded a CBI inquiry into her death. The family members alleged that she was murdered and someone had tried to camouflage it as a case of suicide. The family will be meeting the director general of police after the cremation.

“The purpose to form the SIT is to conduct a detailed and scientific investigation. The team would submit its report within two days and it will help us ascertain the cause of death,” said deputy commissioner of police (west) Surinder Pal.

Meanwhile, Garg has reportedly told the police officials that his wife was suffering from depression and that she was not happy staying in Gurgaon.

Such a drastic step, however, was totally unexpected, said Garg. The police have sent the viscera and swab samples of the deceased to Madhuban Forensic Science Laboratory for ascertaining whether the deceased had used the revolver, which was found next to her, for shooting herself.
