Light showers likely on Friday in Gurgaon

Early morning showers on Thursday helped bring down the soaring temperature in the city from 40 degrees Celsius to 39.4 degrees Celsius, giving residents a much-needed respite.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said the residents can expect a comfortable weather over the next 24 hours with the maximum temperature remaining below the 40-degree mark. There is the possibility of a thunderstorm on Friday as well, the weatherman said.
The maximum temperature on Thursday was 39.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 24.4 degrees Celsius. The city received light showers accompanied with thunders and lightening.
Residents can also expect a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light showers along with a thunderstorm or dust storm on Friday as well. There is a possibility of light scattered showers in the neighbouring regions of Haryana, Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, an IMD official added.
As a result of the western disturbances in Kashmir, some regions of Haryana, Delhi and Punjab have been receiving scattered light rainfall over the last few days. The maximum temperature in the city on Friday is expected to be around 38 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 23 degree Celsius, he said.
