The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has planned to construct a two-kelometer cycle track along the MG Road.
The proposed facility, which also includes a provision for pedestrian track, will come from Mahaveer Chowk near inter-state bus terminus to MDI Chowk.
"We have the right of way (ROW) and land available along the stretch. The chief engineer has already begun working on the feasibility of the project, which will take a final shape soon," MCG commissioner Vijay Singh Dhaiya told HT.
Dahiya said that the civic body will explore more possibility for non-motorised transport on other roads in the city.
Earlier this month, the MCG had in-principle gave its approval to promote non-motorised transport in the city.
The Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) is also working on a plan to build cycle and pedestrian tracks along 500 km roads in the city.
