Residents of the city will witness India’s first ever Transformers Cosplay Mania in Gurgaon over the weekend.

The international theatrical show will have Transformers characters Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Megatron in action at the Epicentre in Sector 44.

The organisers said the show is being held on Dussehra and Diwali as the premise of the Transformers series is all about the good wining over evil, much like the premise of these festivals.

“The characters represent a positive spirit,” one of the organisers of the event said.

The 45-minute show will be will be part of the Diwali Mela, which is being held at the Epicentre from October 23 till October 25.

“The characters in the Transformers series fight to save the world. That is why the festive season is a perfect time to unveil such a show in India.

Residents of the city will get to meet Megatron, a perfect gift for Transformers fans,” said Aditi Chauhan, event-head, Epicentre.

“For the first time in India, we bring you Transformers Cosplay Mania at Epicentre. It will be an interactive theatrical show where Optimus Prime, his arch-enemy Megatron and Bumblebee, the cute Autobot, will come alive in front of you,” said Chauhan.

“The perpetual inter-galactic battle between Optimus and Megatron signifies the fight between good and evil, which forms the crux of our Dussehra celebrations. Against the backdrop of these traditional Indian festivities, the cosplay finds a higher relevance this month. I hope people will enjoy the show and will be able to find similarities between different cultures,” she said.
