The residents of Sushant Lok-2 and 3 in Sector 57 are irked by mushrooming unauthorised complexes in their area.

They said though they had appealed to all the authorities concerned, including Huda administrator, deputy commissioner and the town planner, but the problem is yet be solved.

“We were promised a community centre by the developer. But the land is being used for unauthorised activities now,” said Joginder Singh, president, Residents’ Welfare Association, Sushant Lok Extension.

Singh said the residents had also submitted a video of illegal encroachments on private plots to Huda, but nothing had been done in this regard.

The residents have demanded that a joint action committee be formed by the developer (Ansal group) to undertake the maintenance of their housing complexes.

“We want the management to form a joint committee to look after maintenance activities such as sewerage disposal, open roads etc. In 2012, assistant town planner Mandeep Singh inspected the area and prepared a report along with a list of unauthorised complexes. But no action has been taken till date,” said AC Agnihotri, general secretary, RWA.
