The nationwide bandh call against petrol price hike on Thursday evoked a mixed response in Gurgaon and other parts of Congress-ruled Haryana.

Demonstrations were taken out at places and a few shops remained shut in Gurgaon. Commuters in Delhi had a tough time with public transport being hit.

In Chandigarh, rail traffic was disrupted as BJP activists held a protest near the railway station causing delay of a few trains, including the New Delhi-Chandigarh-Kalka Himalayan Queen and the New Delhi-Chandigarh-Kalka Shatabdi Express.
