The Haryana government has decided to empanel two private hospitals for the treatment of state government employees, pensioners and their dependents.
These hospitals are Fortis Hospital and Max Super Specialty Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi.
A spokesman of the health department said on Thursday that the decision to empanel these hospitals had been taken subject to the condition that the expenditure on treatment in these hospitals would be reimbursed according to the rates of the Post-graduate Institute of Medical education and Research, Chandigarh, and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
“These hospitals would remain empanelled for a period of two years, which could be renewed further by the state government keeping in view the performance and track record of the hospitals,” said the spokesperson.
He said the health department reserved the right to call for record of treatment of any patient from any empanelled hospital to ensure that no malpractice had taken place.
Health officials said these hospitals would provide treatment to the employees in the event of a life-threatening emergency without asking for deposition of the cost. However, the patient will have to pay the dues before getting discharged from the hospital.
