“We have to study the movement of heavy vehicles at Signature Tower and make a service lane to separate their ways from lighter vehicles. Following this, we will study light vehicles’ movement at the crossing. After the completion of the study, we will decide about the direction of underpass construction,” said an architect, Sai Consultant. “We will come to know about the traffic flow (with directions) movement every hour,” said the architect, adding that a team of experts comprising engineers, architects, officials from the national highway authority of India (NHAI) and MCG will conduct the study.

On Friday, the team inspected the 2-km stretch leading from Atul Kataria Chowk to Huda City Centre Metro station, with MDI Chowk and Signature Tower falling in between, where flyover and underpasses are proposed. The traffic police have suggested an underpass at Signature Tower and a flyover at MDI Chowk to regulate traffic movement.
