The police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two persons accused of killing their employer and two Rajasthan Police personnel, who had nabbed them last fortnight and were bringing them to Gurgaon.
The accused have been identified as Amit Jangid (25) and Ajay Kumar Sangwan (25), both hailing from Charkhi Dadri in Bhiwani, Haryana.
While Sangwan is a high school dropout, Jangid is a final year BCA student.
The duo has been charged with gunning down Pawan Sharma, who owned Pub Nirvaan in MGF Mega City Mall on MG Road where they were employed, in a car a day after Christmas.
Sharma ran a total of three restaurant-cum-bars in Haryana.
Sharma had employed the accused as his personal security guard and driver. They allegedly shot him due to personal enmity.
On December 26, Jangid was driving the car while Ajay fired two shots at Sharma who was sleeping in the rear seat on their way to Bhiwani. They also took Rs 30,000 that Sharma was carrying.
All three were allegedly drunk at the time of the incident.
"The accused dumped the body in the boot of the car and drove to Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district, while drinking liquor," a police officer said.
The duo parked the car in Bajla village to catch some sleep but residents grew suspicious and called the police.
A police team comprising four personnel reached the spot and took them into custody. While taking them to the police station, Sangwan shot at a constable and a head constable and both the accused fled.
Both the cops were shot in the neck and died on the spot.
Later, the police found Sharma's body in the boot of the car. Police said the killers returned to Delhi the next day but kept changing their hideouts.
DCP (East) Maheshwar Dayal said, "The duo wanted to dig a pit at an isolated place near Bajla village and dispose of Sharma's body after they shot him dead with his revolver. The duo used the same weapon to kill constable Bajrang Lal and head constable Omprakash Yadav."
