A 25-year-old woman went missing from Sultanpur Metro station in mysterious circumstances, the police said on Tuesday.

Tejaswini Prasad, a resident of Andhra Pradesh, was staying along with her husband in a rented accommodation in Sultanpur Extension, Delhi. The victim’s husband, Prasad Dasari, works with a private firm in Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon.

The incident took place on Monday evening when the woman was traveling towards MG Road Metro station, where his husband was waiting for her.

According to the police, the woman had left home and boarded a Metro train at Sultanpur at 5:10pm. But after few
minutes, her mobile was found to be switched off. A case has been registered with Jonapuri police station.

The couple had bought some dress which required alteration. On Monday, Dasari told her wife to reach MG Road Metro station so that he could take her to the shop.

“I spoke to her around 4:45pm and she told me that she was about to leave home. When I again spoke to her, she was at Metro station. But at 5:10pm, her number was switched off,” Dasari said.

“We have put the woman’s mobile phone on surveillance and are trying to track the location,” said Ved Prakash, SHO Jonapuri police station.
