Modi to address another rally in Haryana

The BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, would address one more rally in Haryana in days to come, a party release said on Saturday.


Stating that a decision in this context was taken at a meeting of the core group of the party, which was held at Karnal on Friday, party state spokesman Vir Kumar Yadav said Modi's rally had tentatively been scheduled for February 23 or March 2 at Karnal. The meeting was presided over by party state president Ram Bilas Sharma in which state in-charge Jagdish Mukhi was also present.

Earlier, Modi had addressed an ex-servicemen rally at Rewari in September.

Yadav said while a state-level meeting would be held on December 26 at Kurukshetra, which would be attended by party district presidents and heads of different cells, rallies would also be held in all the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in February. The rallies would be held at Faridabad and Karnal on February 2, at Bhiwani and Kurukshetra on February 8, at Ambala and Rohtak on February 9, at Sonepat and Hisar on February 15 and at Gurgaon and Sirsa on February 16.

Stating that a rally would be held by the Scheduled Castes cell of the party on February 1, Yadav said on February 23, the party would also hold a traders' meeting at Panipat.

According to Yadav, the party workers would also hold demonstrations in all the districts against various alleged scams of the state government in days to come.
