A tranquil zone for de-stressing

It’s one of those places that you wouldn’t go about recommending to all, just so that it remains your personal haven. Rose flowers and candles welcome you to the Dwarka branch of Mystic — a lifestyle spa tugged away in a quiet second floor corner of the Sector 5 market. From the list of international spa treatments, that includes Swedish Deep Tissue and Hot Stone Ritual, I opted for the Balinese massage that helps the body relax, with the help of gentle stretches, acupressure and aromatherapy oil. I chose orange oil and I felt myself de-stress from head to toe during the 60 minutes that followed, the time taken for the treatment.Next, I tried the Jasmine Body Polish. The therapist used Dead Sea salt soaked in Jasmine and essential oils to reinvigorate the skin, finishing it off with a moisturiser. A head oil massage was in line next. After relishing the orange-jasmine scent and the soothing instrumental music, you almost don’t want to get up when the ritual is over. The therapist used Oriental treatment, a combination of Thai (dry massage) and European (aromatherapy) technique for the therapy.
The Berries Hydrating Glow Facial is also worth your money. Your skin is pampered with fruity delights like strawberries and blueberries. The complimentary eye facial done was a bonus. The place is not very pocket friendly, with some treatments going up to R5,000. But if you can loosen your purse strings, there’s plenty to draw you back.
