Highlight Story

bridePrenuptial pampering has become a craze in recent times, and an increasing number of brides are heading to spas to look their best on D-day. From grandma’s kitchen nuskas to more elaborate and luxurious therapies, the Capital offers a number of spa treatments that will leave the bride spoilt for choice. With the wedding season just around the corner, here is a selection of spa treatments for would-be brides.

Body glow
According to skin care expert Dr Seema Malik, “Body glow treatment is quite popular among brides.” A combination of a glow pack and bridal lotion is used to give a stunning glow to the skin, that last for up to fifteen days.
Cost: Rs 800

Diamond scrub
Considered among the most effective forms of exfoliation, the diamond scrub is a combination of cucumber, rose, walnut element, and almond, lemon and olive oils. When applied, the scrub leaves the skin rejuvenated and clearer.
Cost: Rs 695

Swedish massage
Specially designed for muscle relaxation, this massage is done using pressure strokes applied in the same direction as the blood flow in the body. The massage relaxes the muscles and helps increase oxygen flow in the body. Says Ajay Malik of Espace Spa, “Brides normally prefer whole body massages because these not only draw out the body’s impurities but also soften the skin, leaving a lasting impression.”
Cost: Rs 1,800

Laser photo facial
This one is for those looking for some quick results. Says Dr Ramanjit Sharma of Fos Laser Spa, “Brides no longer want to try natural therapies to firm up their skin. They are just going in for a quick fix option.” The treatment is performed by professionals using machines that emit strong pulses that penetrate deep into the skin. It results in the re-surfacing of the skin and also helps to tone and tighten it. If done around the eyes, it firms up the wrinkled areas. Three to five sittings at intervals of fifteen days are required for a laser photo facial. The best part is the glow stays for two months.
Cost: Rs 3,000 per sitting

Figure correction
The desire for a perfect figure drives many would-be brides to seek figure correction treatments, making it a much-sought after option at the Fos Laser Spa. Figure correction is done by surgeons and can be used to tone up different body parts, such as the abdomen, waistline, inner thighs, hips or breasts.
Cost: Differs with different body parts
