Actor Bipasha Basu who went through a six-week workout to shape up before getting into a bikini for Players promises to share it in her third fitness DVD. Six years after Dhoom 2 (2006), Bipasha Basu is set to steam up the screen in a bikini in Abbas-Mustan’s Players.

The actor admits that she went through an intense, six-week, specially-devised workout with her trainer Paul, to develop a beach body before stepping in front of the camera in the two-piece for the Indianised remake of The Italian Job.

“It wasn’t only gymming, I was also put on a high-protein diet that cut out the carbs completely. I’m a foodie a Bengali with a sweet tooth at that but during those six weeks, I didn’t get to eat a single Mishti (sweet). It was difficult, but the efforts paid off,” smiles Bipasha.

“The Dhoom 2 girl, Shonali Bose, was thinner, the Players girl is more womanly, but I like her. Men have always been effusive with their compliments, but in this case, I have women coming up to me since the promos went on air, to rave about how good I am looking.”

Bipasha plans to share her workout in her third fitness DVD with Indian women, who like others across the globe, love going to the beach but are embarrassed about their bodies and shy of getting into a swimsuit.

“This workout will help women who have a certain level of fitness to get in shape and give them the confidence to carry off the bikini,” she asserts.

Bipasha launched the first of her fitness DVDs in February this year. Titled Love Yourself, it is a 25-minute 60-day workout. She’s gearing up to launch a second one next year.

“It’s a unisex workout geared towards weight loss. The beach workout will be for the third DVD. You have to a little patient because I’ve been just so busy that I’ve yet to shoot the video for my second DVD,” sighs the Bollywood star.

Like Elizabeth Hurley, Bipasha too would also like to come up with a line of designer swimwear under her own label, but once again her hectic schedule has put the plan on the backburner.

“Designing a fitness DVD and a clothesline takes a lot of time and effort,” she points out.

“And right now, my movies are keeping me busy 24x7. Once I am able to take time out from my projects, I’ll get cracking on other things too.”
