Apples contain high fibre and antioxidants. They reduce the risk of heart diseases and cancer. Apples are available round the year. Apricots are highly nutritious as they are rich in potassium and iron and also contain vitamins A, C and E.

Bananas are high in energy and power-packed with carbohydrate, potassium, fibre and healthy sugar. Kiwifruit is a rich source of vitamin C. Mostly found in California and New Zealand, it is usually used in fruit salads.

Mangoes are rich in beta-carotene, vitamins A and C, and phytochemicals (plant chemicals). Some people even eat the skin of mangoes which has high fibre content.

Strawberries have high cancer-fighting ellagic acid content, vitamin C and phytonutrients.

Grapefruit comes in different colours and has high fibre content. It helps in reducing blood pressure and cholesterol. Certain type of grapefruit is high in potassium, beta-carotene and calcium.

Muskmelon is the sweet-tasting fruit contains folate, beta-carotene, citric acid, vitamins A, B and C. It is also known as cantaloupes in certain regions and are also high in potassium.

Blueberries have low calorie count and high antioxidants. It is helpful in reducing weight and blood pressure.

Blackberries are believed to protect against heart diseases and cancer. It is extremely rich in vitamins B1, B2, C and E, along with anti-ageing antioxidants.
