Ishant Sharma is good at doling out bouncers to batsmen. And he’s equally sure about what he wants where fitness is concerned.
“Everyone loves a great body, and so do I. And if a shoe can help me tone up my butt, why shy away,” says the fast bowler, talking about Reebok’s new range of Easy-tone shoes.
But a great body for him doesn’t mean being muscular. “I like an athletic built — fit and flexible,” says the 6-feet 5-inch cricketer. Ask him whose body — or butt — he feels is the best and he says, “Bipasha Basu, undoutedbly.”
Apart from working out, Ishant spends a lot of time on Twitter. “Sometimes people leave comments like ‘Workout kyun karte ho, sixer toh waise bhi padne wali hai’. I don’t know what to say then,” he says.
Presently out of the team, Ishant is “working extra time” to get his rhythm back. But that doesn’t stop him from eating chhole-bhature and rajma chawal at midnight at Shivaji Stadium. “I love that,” says the Patel Nagar boy.
