Fitness for me is: A way of life. I don’t like to take my clothes off at the drop of a hat. I do workouts because I enjoy them. I like to go to the gym, play tennis, cycle, run and swim. Basically, I like the outdoors. Whenever I get the opportunity, I do one of the above things. For me, time off with myself is almost like meditation. I love spending two hours with myself. It eradicates any negative energy and keeps me going.
The Bollywood heroine with the fittest body: Deepika has got a great body. She is really fit and naturally gifted despite eating like a pig. Priyanka and Kareena are very fit.
The Bollywood hero with the fittest body: There are so many guys who are fit and have great bodies. John is fit, Shah Rukh too. Hrithik is super fit.
My opinion on the size zero trend: When people see me in real life, they tell me ‘Oh, you look so thin in person. But you look so much bigger onscreen’.
I am like ‘Yeah, the screen magnifies you 50 times. Thank God you are not watching me on TV. You tend to look 15 to 20 pounds heavier when your’e on camera. Consequently, all of us consciously need to be slightly leaner in normal life’.
Kareena looks great in size zero; she is not unhealthy. There is a difference between being aneroxic thin and being slim, but fit.
I prefer leaner bodies to bulky bodies.
My opinion on the six packs trend: It’s nonsense. I don’t think anybody (and I know a lot of fit people) can maintain a six pack for the rest of their lives. You have to be in tip top shape and sacrifice a lot of things in life to achieve a six pack. You have a six pack for a span of month and you go back to your food. Shah Rukh in Om Shanti Om and Aamir in Ghajini should be commended for the physique they acquired for their roles. For guys like me, who have always been into fitness, it’s easier to get six packs.
On the scale of one to ten, I would rate my body:I don’t rate my body.

The best complement I have got for my physique: When I took my shirt off, people were like, ‘Wow.”
I work out at: Watson gym in Bandra (Mumbai). It’s all about personalised training and core training. I do athletic training.
A piece of advice to youngsters aspiring to be fit: Be good to your body and do not abuse it. Everybody can make a good body but you have to work towards it. Don’t use supplements and steroids, as they may produce results faster,
there are dangerous repercussions.
