Actor Eesha Koppikar strictly believes in the concept of beauty beginning with what you put in your body. “What you eat has such a drastic effect on your appearance,” she says, adding, “During the summer, I stick to a semi-liquid diet. I eat tons of salads, soups, fruits, and drink buttermilk, vegetable juices and fresh lime juice. I avoid eating spicy food because it makes my stomach acidic.”
A follower of natural, home remedies and beauty treatments, she reveals one of her tried-and-tested treatments. Eesha says, “I follow what my granny told me — take a few almonds, crush them and mix them into a little malai. Put this on your face as a moisturiser and it will work wonders for your skin.” Here are other tips from Eesha.
1. Drink lots of green tea. It’s packed with anti-oxidants that help you fight the aging process.
2. It’s a myth that you shouldn’t moisturise your face in the summer. Just use a product with a milder intensity, preferably one that’s water-based so it doesn’t make your skin greasy.
3. Get into a regular sleep cycle, because irregular sleeping habits will really show up on your face.
4. You need to prepare yourself for older skin, so use SPF to avoid darkening and pigmentation.
