Take care of your skin before playin holi.

Prepare beforehand: Apply mustard oil all over the body and hair, a day before playing Holi. The oil tends to absorb less colour, hence holi colours can be easily cleaned with water.

Switch to homemade colours: Apply natural homemade colours made from haldi, flower extracts, beetroot extract, etc. They won’t harm your skin.

Skin types: Colours tends to make skin dry, and if you have oily skin, they can lead to rashes and pimples. Use some natural and homemade remedies for different types of skin. Applying fruit and vegetable facepacks will be helpful.

Eye care: After washing off colour with water, put some rose water in your eye and rest. This will relax them. If while playing Holi, some dry colour gets into your eyes then rinse it with clean water. Washing your eyes, time and again with water is advisable on Holi day.

Avoid: Major colours including red, black and green as they comprise mercury sulphite, lead oxide and copper sulphate respectively that may cause severe health issues like allergy, puffiness, temporary blindness and may even lead to skin cancer in some extreme cases.
