But, facial yoga might be the solution we are looking for. It's fun, easy to do and inexpensive. Focusing on specific areas of the face, this form of yoga can help give us an easy face lift, erasing fine lines and fixing the double chin and crow's feet we dread. Practicing these steps daily can help tone specific parts of our face, without any side-effects or dangers of medical or cosmetic intervention. Try these easy moves to put you best face forward.
Steps: Place your index fingers on the outer edges of your eyebrows. Then, slowly and gently pull your eyebrows away from each other, and at the same time close your eyelids. Stay like that for 10 to 15 seconds. Repeat if required.
Benefits: Prevents wrinkles around the eyes.
For your eyes only
Steps: Without moving the head, look as far to the left, right, upwards and downwards, as possible, for 5 seconds each. Now, Rub palms together and place them over closed eyes.
Benefits: Strengthens eye muscles and vision.
Steps: Fold the tongue so that it protrudes a little from the mouth. Slowly inhale through the mouth. Then swallow the breath and hold it inside your stomach. Hold the breath for 10 seconds, and then exhale slowly through the nose.
Benefits: Helps in reducing wrinkles, improves blood circulation.
Chuck the chin
Steps: Move your lower jaw and lower lip over the upper ones, and try and cover your upper lip as much as you can with your lower lip. You would feel a strain on your double chin area. Do this for 10 seconds.
Benefits: Tones your chin muscles and helps you get rid of a double chin.
Steps: Stretch your mouth to pronounce each vowel loudly, putting as many facial muscles to use as possible. Do all vowels for 5 seconds each.
Benefits: Extremely beneficial for the lip region, it's one of the oldest facial exercises with many benefits.
