These signs can be very dangerous, but it is even worse if you don’t know what’s causing them and they continue to grow. So, here is a list of a few everyday habits that must be avoided to keep wrinkles away.
1Your eye make-up moves: You can get crow’s feet, i.e. fine lines around the corners of your eye, if you stretch your skin while applying makeup. “To make your makeup easier instead of stretching your skin, use a primer and then a base, which will make it easy to apply makeup, give you a smoother finish and make your makeup stay for long” advises makeup artist Neetu Rathore.
2Sleeping the wrong way: Sleeping on your face can give you wrinkles. No, this is a not a myth, but a scientifically proven fact. If you still can’t help but sleep on your face, then go for a satin pillowcase instead of a cotton one, as this will reduce the ill effects on your skin. A wrong sleeping posture can also make you age very fast.
3Frowning and pouting: Did you know that pouting for pictures or while applying your makeup can give you wrinkles? So, girls, pout no more, smile for your pictures and turn your face while applying your make-up.
4Using the wrong foundation: If you have dry skin and you are using a matte foundation, it can have adverse effects on your skin like wrinkles, fine lines and breakouts.
5Harshly rubbing your face: The towels you use to wipe your face must be chosen very carefully. When you wash your face, your skin becomes supple and sensitive. Using a hard towel or applying too much pressure on your skin while wiping it can cause creases on your skin. It’s best to use baby wipes whenever you can.
6Stressing: When you stress, you tend to frown more. Frowning is one of the key causes of wrinkles on your face. Stress can also lead to not eating well and exercising less, which can cause ageing.
7Smoking/alcohol: Smoking causes premature fine lines mostly near your eyes and upper lips. These lines usually appear to smokers 10 to 15 years earlier than all those who don’t smoke.
