Forget the lullabies and hours of rock-the-cradle. An Aussie father may have just found the trick for parents who are at their wit's end over how to get their babies to sleep - in less than one minute and using only tissue paper.
Sydney-based Nathan Dailo has uploaded a Youtube video demonstrating his trick on his 3-month-old son. The video has received over 23,000 views in just over two weeks.
"I'm sure every parent tries new things to put their little one to sleep. Watch as my wife and I put our 3 month old baby boy, Seth, to sleep in under a minute using nothing but a piece of tissue paper. What's the weirdest method you've used to put your little one to sleep?" Dailo wrote as an introduction to the video.

The video shows Dailo, or a hand presumed to be his, gently stroking the face of the baby with a tissue paper.
By the sixth brush of the tissue, the fidgety baby's eyelids begin to droop, by the tenth he has a hard time keeping his big eyes open and by the 14th stroke he is already asleep. And it takes just 42 seconds.
"This worked for my baby 5 times already so thanks!" one viewer wrote.
Dailo said in his reply, "You can try just about anything though. We have found running your fingers over their forehead or over the bridge of their nose lightly will give the same effect too. We just thought a tissue would have a funny side to it! Its worked with a few others!"
Not all viewers are happy though.
"I can confirm and safely say this did not work on my one year old.... in fact she's still very much wide awake at 11 pm. She is not only wide awake but also tore the tissue I was trying to use... all I want to do is go to sleep....".
